  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 2 cups mixed frozen vegetables
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons salted butter
  • ¼ cup flour
  • ¾ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground sage
  • Salt/Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Peel and cut potatoes; boil until fork-tender, then mash with sour cream and butter.
  2. In a large stock pot, cook ground beef until browned, then set aside.
  3. Sauté diced onions and minced garlic in butter until softened.
  4. Stir in flour, followed by chicken broth gradually to create a smooth base.
  5. Mix in seasonings and half-and-half; bring to a boil before reducing to simmer.
  6. Fold in mashed potatoes, cooked beef, and mixed vegetables; heat through for about five minutes.
  7. Stir in shredded cheddar until melted; adjust seasoning if necessary before serving hot.
