  • 10 oz. mushrooms (button or baby bella)
  • 2 Tablespoons salted butter
  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 34 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 ½ cups beef broth
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Clean and slice the mushrooms and mince the garlic. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat, add mushrooms, and sauté until tender (5-7 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  3. Add olive oil to the same skillet; cook chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. In a bowl, whisk flour with beef broth until smooth. Return mushrooms to skillet and stir in this mixture along with soy sauce, garlic, and cream. Cook on low until thickened.
  5. Add chicken back to the skillet and simmer for about 10 minutes to meld flavors.
  6. Serve hot over rice or pasta.
