  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (for meatloaf)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar (for glaze)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, milk, breadcrumbs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just incorporated.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it into a greased loaf pan or on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. In a small saucepan over medium heat, mix together brown sugar, ketchup for glaze, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
  5. Spoon half of the glaze over the meatloaf and bake for about 40 minutes.
  6. After 40 minutes, add the remaining glaze and continue baking for another 15–20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Allow the meatloaf to rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
