  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon pineapple juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce by mixing soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, pineapple juice, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic and grated ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the prepared sauce mixture and simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce; simmer for another minute.
  6. Stir in chopped pineapple and cook for an additional minute until softened.
  7. Drizzle with sesame oil and mix in lime juice and cilantro before serving.
