  • 1 box devil's food cake mix (plus ingredients called for on box)
  • 2 cups melted peanut butter
  • 1 cup chopped peanut butter candies
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 10 tablespoons softened unsalted butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9"x13" baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the devil's food cake batter according to package instructions and pour into the prepared pan. Bake for about 25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
  3. Poke holes all over the cooled cake using the back of a wooden spoon and pour melted peanut butter evenly over the surface.
  4. In a mixing bowl, beat together peanut butter and softened butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt; mix until fluffy. If needed, incorporate heavy cream to adjust consistency.
