  • 1 Earl Grey tea bag (or 1 tsp loose leaf)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 45 fresh cherries (pitted and halved)
  • 12 tsp vanilla syrup
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
  • Ice (optional, for iced version)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, simmer halved cherries with 2 tablespoons of water on low heat for 3-5 minutes until soft. Mash gently to release juices.
  2. Boil 1 cup of water in another pot and steep the Earl Grey tea for 3-5 minutes. Remove the tea bag or strain.
  3. Pour milk into the saucepan with cherries and heat gently while stirring. Add a cinnamon stick if desired.
  4. Stir in vanilla syrup to taste.
  5. Pour brewed tea into a mug, then strain the cherry-milk mixture into it while pressing on the cherries.
  6. For an iced version, allow to cool slightly before serving over ice.
  7. Garnish with a fresh cherry or sprinkle cinnamon on top.
