  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Take chicken breasts out of the refrigerator and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F).
  3. Remove chicken from the skillet and cover loosely with foil.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds before adding heavy cream. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Stir in chopped basil, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and seasoning; simmer for an additional 3-5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over it; simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Serve hot with your choice of sides.
