  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: ½ cup chocolate chips or chopped walnuts/pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mash bananas and mix in melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until just mixed. Fold in any optional mix-ins if desired.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet with space between each.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are set.
