  4. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt together.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Stir in cooled reduced apple cider and caramel bits until evenly distributed.
  7. Chill dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  9. Scoop dough into 1-inch balls, optionally rolling them in extra sugar before placing them on sheets about 2 inches apart.
  10. Bake for approximately 9-11 minutes until edges are golden brown; cool on sheets for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
